Was in Bob's Gunshop near Alpena MI today (He has a facebook page)
He had a series of Parkers in the rack, including a 20 gauge 34" DHE straight grip in what appeared to be to this neophyte in 95+% condition. $25K. Interesting old owner who was happy to talk (Phone (989) 356-1777) Failed to take notice of single or double triggers, but...

Lots of other guns. A redone 30" Trojan by Turnbull in very good condition except for a chip out of the heel of the stock. $3,000.

Let the fighting begin!

Don't know for sure, but I sense that your chances of negotiating any meaningful reduction is between slim and none, and slim's out of town

I’d insist on the 25 year and not the dinky 12 year.

Aardberg the Corryvrecken has just displaced Lagavulin as my favorite : )

Randy said he called and the 20g is a 32” gun. NOT a 34” gun.

Only a run of the mill 32” 20g. , right?

That gun has been for sale for a LONG time. The price goes up yearly I think.
I looked at it at his table in Denver maybe 10 years ago and it was over priced then as it is now.

I called on it Friday also. I was able to speak with the owner yesterday.
191xxx
32" not 34"
Double triggers
Skeleton butt
Splinter
Straight grip
And priced at 22K not 25K
I was told the gun was a consignment and price was not negotiable (which I found strange as consignment guns are typically most negotiable)
I was promised pictures but they never came.
I have moved on.....
Good luck all.

Most likely it is his own gun that he is selling. That explains the non-negotiable price....if he can get someone to pay an exorbitant price he"ll gladly sell it, otherwise he'll just keep using it.
Who would leave a gun at a shop on consignment for 10 years?

Craig -

I never asked for chokes or barrel wall measurements as my interest waned substantially when the price was declared firm.

It was fun while it lasted and it didn't cost anyone $25K. So no harm, no foul

I’m only 20 minutes South of Bob’s. Occasionally we do some gunsmithing work for him and I stop in there every once in a while to see what’s new. I’d gladly stop in to evaluate a gun and text pics for any PCGA member that is interested in the future.

If interested, make an offer. Can't hurt. It would not be the first non-negotiable to take an offer. Go by and take some negotiation spirits with you, never can tell, the old dude might just happen to like you and appreciate the spirits and the offer.

I found the owner to be easy to talk to, and has many interesting tales, but I don't think the word "negotiation" is in his vocabulary
