I couldn't remember who the " Fox Guru "is, but this question is for you... We have a 1925 HE Super Fox 12 here. We also have some additional stampings on the water table refering to " A SPEC " and an A above the H. My friend was curious if this originally left the factory as an A Grade? Maybe an A Special?

Chris....could you show us a side view of the frame? Hard to tell from that pic but do I see engraving on the breech balls? Like you, just curious as to what, if any "A-Grade" styling this Super might reveal? :corn:

And Tool Man . . . and maybe a few others I neglected to mention. Looks like a very interesting gun.

I'm a member of the Fox Association. Just need to renew my years past membership, as I am a Fox first man, then Parker... Here are more pics. It has been custom engraved, and the forend replaced. Not sure about the stock. This belongs to a friend who just bought it and he lives in MI, and I'm in AZ.

Both H Grade stamps and the 3 IN stamp look legit but I'd say the stylized A above the H stamp on the frame bar has been post factory/hand stamped, also the A-SPEC stamping. Possibly to coordinate with and validate the custom frame and barrel breech engravings?

Thanks Frank, that's what we're thinking

Kind of a grade 6 engraving pattern.

The engravers name is on the triggerplate just ahead of the screw Phil. This one belongs to Dave M. He just picked it up.

Dave definitely finds some interesting guns.

What is the engraver's name? We can't magnify it enough to see it. The water table seems to be a bit pitted, which is probably the reason the owner decided to have it engraved. There was probably some pitting on other parts. I really like the engraving pattern. Is the receiver blued or case colored? What does the wood look like?

The engraver is D Graham. The stock work is terrible, but the wood is nice. Not sure if blued.
