Sticky level

The lever on my O grade hammer gun has a midway hard spot when I open the barrels.
Any suggestions? Do I need to tear it down, clean & lube?

I would also check to see if it is bent and rubbing the tang.

Yes thanks. That's checked and is good. There's good clearance.

As suggested in another post, when I close the barrels by holding the level open and release it afterwards, the next time I open the barrels its smooth as silk.
It seems that hard spot when opening only happens when I snap the barrels closed w/o holding the level open then releasing.
