As usual a mighty fine read. Loved the photo spread of all you fine folks with your bird dogs.
Hats off to Mr. Loving on his finding the 1st hammerless D grade.
Mills your article about hunting with your dad and son put a smile on my face. I might have to find a copy of the education of pretty boy.

Received mine yesterday and scanned it quickly last evening. Looks like good reading!
I noticed I'm not on the member's list. Anyone know what could be the reason? Have I failed to do something?

Got mine yesterday. The dog feature, the Morrison article, and the overall excellence of the work of Mike and Sam were my favorite features. Oh, I forgot the John Davis story. Wow, state singles champion, 195X200, with a Parker single.

After you mentioned it, I checked for my name and it wasn't listed either.

If you received a copy you would be on the member's list.

If I remember correctly there is a box to check with your membership that says you do not want your info on the public list. Possibly that box was checked? Just spitballing here because only those on the membership list receive a copy of Parker Pages.

I know I'm a member. I used the wrong terminology earlier ......... I'm not on the roster.
I dunno Mike. If that is the reason, how can I correct it?

I would think a simple email or PM to Mary Bowes, explaining you are not listed in the membership roster and wish to be listed, should resolve the issue.

Mine was waiting at the post office after our return from a road trip. Great articles! Thanks to the contributors.
I always read the President's Page first, and was struck again by the many contributions of our colleagues. I appreciate Tom recognizing those contributions. So, my thanks also to Mary, Chuck, John (Dunkle), Mike, Susan, Randy, Brian, and Josh. And, congratulations to Ed for his many years of service, and to Mills on his well deserved recognition.
Next year I hope to learn of these things first hand at the annual meeting.

Just pulled it out the mail box at the PO today ! And I read Mr.Lovings article right off the bat . I was fortunate enough to talk to him on the phone a month or two ago and he’d told me the article was supposed to be in the magazine and I was quite pleased when I read it as I’m sure I’ll be with all the others as well .

The quality of articles submitted for publication is mind blowing!! Our PGCA membership has such a wide range of knowledge and skill-sets that it really makes this job so much fun and truly an education in itself. Keep those articles coming!

On arriving home this evening following several days at the lake the new Fall Issue was among the mail in my burgeoning mailbox. I think this is the longest I've waited to receive my copy. I was delighted to finally have it in hand - Thanks to all of the authors and an extra thanks to Mike and Sammy.
I haven't read a line of it yet but the first thing I saw was the front cover picture so I went inside to page 3., The Cover and not a thing was mentioned about the gun’s history and its significance (probably through modesty) but I recognized it immediately as the "Editors Gun" as it was in my custody for some 10 years. Austin did a couple of modifications to the stock, when it was in his custody, and I had a few things (embellishments) done as well. Austin shot that gun exceptionally well at trap and sporting clays and I shot it at a couple of events but this is the first time I've seen it actually hunted and posed with the bag. Very well done Mike!! That's what it was made for!

Dean, from this post and others, it’s clear you revere Austin. He was before my membership and knowledge, but your many positive references allow me to understand not only your relationship with him, but also his importance to all of us. Each of us can only hope that our time here will be remembered by some. You continue to help us remember him, Dean. Thanks. Austin would be pleased.

Very true Garry. I guess you could say I revere Austin and I wouldn’t disagree. I am very proud to have known him as a good friend though, intellectually, Austin was a few levels above me.
I think he would be inwardly pleased but outwardly humbled and almost a bit embarrassed at the attention.
