I have a Remington Parker Trap Gun that I would like to convert to double triggers.
What does this entail, and is it something that a non-gunsmith could pull off?

Crickets, eh? I think the advice you'd get from this crowd is to sell the gun and find one with double triggers.

This has been discussed several times so I feel confident a search on the forum would yield lots of info. Here's a link to a starter for you.

Thanks, Randy. I didn't remember it being talked about, and didn't really have a reason to look, until recently.
The gun is a 32" VR Trap Gun, with a Parker Single Trigger. It has a little bit of an issue with the single trigger, so it's gotta be worked on anyway.
I'm a double trigger guy, so the gun would be more useful to me converted.
I will save all of the original parts, so the gun could be changed back, if needed down the road.
Curious about the parts list, and degree of difficulty would be nice to know.

If you want to retain all of the parts and make the gun actually be able to be put back to a single trigger, you will also be looking at replacing the hammers and sears in the gun too. They ARE different in single trigger guns vs. double trigger. If you do not want to be able to change back, the hammer and sears can be modified.

Add those to changing out all of the parts on the trigger plate and related to the safety. Some parts for making the safety work need to be modified, or replaced with modified parts. Which cannot be purchased in a “ready to install” state.

Thanks Brian. It might be better to just wait until you are freed up a little on your work load, and have you do it. In the meantime, I have plenty of guns to shoot this Fall.
BTW, Chuck is very pleased with the job you did on his Repro.
