A hundred new 8 gauge just resized . They’ll be loaded tommorrow or Tuesday to take to Hausemann’s and hopefully enough left for Koneski’s . Well I do have close to a hundred already loaded in the back of my truck so I oughtta be good

That 100 took me 20 minutes . Takes almost that long to bolt the press down on my desk and remove it . Still have 200 more to size at some point . Think I’ve still got some new REM’s to do as well . Week after next think I’ll figure out what else needs it besides the remaining 200 WIN’s then get them all done and pack that press away as I may never use it again !

Your setup is a bit faster than mine then haha .Im using a arbor press I dont have it bolted down though as it doesnt take much effort at all to resize the Winchester hulls. CL said hes getting about 8-9 reloads out the Winchester so yeah depending on how much you shoot those will probably last years .

I was thinking If I end up ordering 50 brass cases that would probably be a life time supply of 8 gauge shells. I was watching some wildfowlers using the 8 gauges and it looked like they never carried more than a handful of shells at any given time .

Between WIN and REM hulls I've got 1000+ so I'll never wear out what I have . Have three hundred unfired WIN and 200 unfired REM . So once I've sized any that need the initial sizing I'm pretty much done for the rest of my life or so it would seem . I do have a couple hundred REM that are once fired from a kiln gun that I think also need the initial resizing .

I have a 100 bag of the green once fired Remingtons, it takes some serious force to resize them though. I much prefer the Winchesters for that .

Milton and Craig, do you think you will need to re-resize hulls that have been shot in large chambered guns? What about the re-resizing of brass hulls? Do they expand less than normal hulls?

Hmmm let me think , neither of mine seem to have oversized chambers . So that’s a big negative . As to brass I don’t have any so I’m about 98.9% sure that’s an issue I’ll never need to take into consideration .

Well my container has somewhere between 160-200 shells to make the trip so I should be good now .
