Just joined a couple of days ago, from Springfield, MO. I was recently gifted my 2x Great-grandfather's Parker 10 gauge. He was the original owner and it's made its way down to me. My dad doesn't remember anyone firing it and the tape on the stock may be antique as well :) SN 25802, frame "3", Twist steel barrel - 30" length, believe it is Grade "0". Trying to get some info to fill out the research letter request. Grip, forend, and butt types. Any help would be appreciated. Here are some pics.

Welcome Darryl! Looks like 25802 which is about right. That is a great piece of family history!

Hey Darryl good to have you in the club. The best Parker’s are always the family Parker’s. You’re lucky to have one with such a history. Looks like the old girl was used a lot. Are you planning to shoot her?

Thanks Mike. I imagine she's been under a wagon bench, bouncing around on more than one occasion. It was a tool used on a farm for close to a hundred years. I would like to fire it but need to have a reputable gunsmith in my area check it out first. I've heard cautionary tales concerning this type of barrel, just need to be safe.

Darryl - Where are you located? There may be a knowledgeable person in your area with the appropriate tools to examine your gun
