As I learn more and more about the American sXs makers I know Parker timed their screws.

Is this a practice that all double gun makers adhered to?

I ask because of examples for sale and the upcoming Southern.
Thank you

Hey Rick. I cannot speak for All American gun makers but I certainly believe that the big five did. Even if they did not it is a certainty that the owners of today would have them timed, right or wrong we like them timed.

I had a local electrician wire a new barn project for me about a month or so ago. Upon completion I was looking over his work and I noted that all of the covers had the screws timed in the same manner. I sort of have a new admiration for him now :)

I learned that a long time ago and any wires I ran/run that were/are clamped had all of the screws timed and outlet and switch covers get timed which break a lot of cheap plastic ones when you needed that final quarter turn to make the screw timed vertically. But it is worth it.

It is a level of professionalism that shows a man’s pride in his work.

Anything less is just... less.

I will let my electrician know that he is now officially PGCA approved and that he should darn well be impressed with that! My apologies Rick for temporarily derailing your thread :)

Yeah, I’ve noted my electrician did the same when building our home. Just wondered about gun makers, sounds like a yes. Thanks
