I got a email saying I have a message from amaffoppy, entitled "I don't usually send out a PM But In This Case Who Wouldn't??".

It is not there so whoever amaffoppy is, email me at lambertdick2@gmail.com

I also received it. While trying to open it a number of ads starting popping up immediately. There was no message that I could see.

got it as well - nothing there, at least I didn't get the pop ups - might be because I reload the newest security software yesterday.

I also got the same message in my email, but no PM here
Checked the members section and found no "amaffoppy" member

I got it also and also checked and found that there is no member by that name. It must be someone, somehow getting into the PMs to spam everyone. I guess my pop-up blocker stopped the junk ads.

Dick, don't give him your email; he'll spam you there too.

Thanks Jeff..! You'd be right..

Actually - a number of Forums are getting hammered with SPAM bots, and - as a back-handed complement - I guess the PGCA Forum has "hit the big time", as we've been getting hammered as well... ;)

Anyway - yep, I deleted that PM as SPAM..

If folks DO get ANY PM from a user they don't recognize - don't click on any links (yea, I know - but I thought I should reinforce the obvious.. ;) )

Best to all for a great day!

I received a strange email this morning from someone calling themself "amaffoppy". It said to log in for a private message but there was no message. Not sure what this is or if it's dangerous. Heads up!

Besides the obvious of learning who has the most valuable guns, what would these intruders be looking for? There are no credit card numbers or other sensitive info on the site, are there??

I also received the PM, but deleted it without opening it.
