Since buying my first Parker, a VH , and reading Ed Muderlak's books I started searching for an upgrade. Found a DH in a shop 40 miles from home.
Stock has been replaced but with nice wood. No serial under trigger guard. No shield and has dog head with spur butt plate instead of skeleton, but I still love it.
Serial #80135, 1894. It's a 12 gauge on a 3 frame, 30" Damascus barrels. I get about skeet and modified from choked measurements with caliper. I'm not skilled to say if backbored or choke tampered with. Will apply for a letter soon.
It does appear to need barrels prefaced. Any guesstimates on cost of that and a gunsmith in the east central Missouri region that can do that. Thanks for looking.

After a couple weeks I finally read a tutorial on posting pictures. They're supposed to be of my DH gun. Preview only shows attachments. Hope I'm not looking foolish once again.

Very cool. 12 gauge 3 frames are underrated

It almost looks like your barrels were added they look larger at the frame could you show a picture of the serial number on the barrel lug, After blowing up the picture it is off face

It looks like a 2 stamped on the barrel lug also meaning a 2 frame The 3 on the frame is the grade as a DH

Wow Steve you are so correct. The barrel serial #69830 puts the barrels at 1892, the gun is serialized to 1894. So that's why they need facing. Yes frame is #3 and barrel has the 2. That's what happens when you're new and see a pretty Parker. I couldn't see the forest for the trees. Now what? Thanks for pointing out my lemon.

I would start by asking where you got it if you could return it , I dont know what you were told about the gun If they mislead you or what ? Sorry ! The 3 on the frame water table is the grade of the gun not the frame size the 3 means it a D which is below the serial number.

Your barrels came from a grade 2 or a GH , From what I see you Have a DH Grade 3 with a 2 frame ,with a set of grade 2 gh 2 frame damascus barrels

Yeah Steve it appears I got too hasty thinking I was finally getting a nice grade Parker, they just don't ever show up in shops around here and I'm not an online buyer. Guess I will have to go back and see about a refund or at least maybe an exchange towards something else. Thought I spotted a nice looking '73 Winchester when I was in there. Here I thought I did ok when I got $135 knocked off asking price after pointing out the barrel to breech gap.

I didn't get the idea you were making fun at all. As for the '73 I don't know either. I drove down there a couple of Wednesday's back just to specifically see if I could find a Parker. There are 4 walls of guns going around the room with door in r/h corner plus some on racks in the middle. I started on the right and cruised my way around to the left. On the way around I spied what appeared to be a '73. Caught my notice but I was on a Parker search.😃 Just a bit later in the corner which would have been immediate left of the entrance was what I thought would be my next love, the Parker.
