I bought this last week, and then on the weekend unexpectedly bought the 16's (posted about already). So I did something I've never done before, bought three Parkers in a span of 7 days. Hell, the first one was my first original so this makes four with my repro. So she finally arrived today, and it was exactly what I was looking for. A sound 12g "meat gun" M/F chokes for those days when I'm chasing later season grouse/pheasant all in one walk and can change shells between spreaders and non spreaders. Also small water duck hunting. I wanted 28" barrels but this seemed like a good deal for a VHE with 26" barrels so I jumped. I'm not disappointed at all, it is much better in person than the photos from the dealers website. As usual if anyone sees anything suspect please advise. Thank you.

Very nice! My experience is that well balanced guns with a little weight to them (like a Parker) swing just fine with 26 inch tubes.

I have an LC Smith FW that weighs about an ounce less, but feels like a pound more than this gun. This is nicer feeling than I anticipated and I'm pleasantly surprised. So I have my trio of hunting Parkers done with. Maybe the next one will be something just a little special. Somebody on here (Don Mills???) always posts, "Tell me when you get to a dozen." I thought, "This dude really thinks people will buy twelve?" Well, I have seen the errors of my ways...

Really nice Andy. I used to load spreader shells and they really work. You should get about IC from the right barrel and modified in the left in a modified and full gun.

Andy,
I bought 3 foxes and a parker before I knew what hit me:) I have done some research on this particular type of "disease" its hard to diagnose, and harder to get rid of:)

Looks like a very nice honest gun on a 1 1/2 frame.
Always thought a 1 frame 26 gun would be sweet .

Take a close look at the barrels. They sure look like they may have been re-blued to me at some point. Not that it is a major issue, just if you are caring about “originality” or the gun being advertised as such. Also the breech engraving on the barrels is a mess. It is VERY crudely cut/recut and that pattern is not correct for a V grade.

It was not advertised as untouched but as a solid shooter. Harold I looked for a 1 frame but tough to find. This had been a long time customer of the dealer and they were familiar with the gun so it was a confidence vote too. I assumed the barrels were reblued from their appearance.

In my original post I meant “original” in the sense it wasn’t a repro as that was all I had owned up to this.
