I am working on an article about Wilbur F. Parker, Sr. and was wondering if anyone had knowledge of the whereabouts of a good photo of Wilbur that I might get permission to use for the article. I've made contact with the Meriden Historical Society and am awaiting a response from them.

Thanks for any leads anyone might might have.

Have you spoken with Louis Parker III about it? I know Louis has a good amount of information on Wilber Sr. that He may be very willing to share. If you have not spoken to him and would like to, I can get your contact info to him.

Brian, I have reviewed his Parker History and there is a group shot that includes Wilbur, Sr., but I would like to have his contact information in the event he might have a portrait photo of Wilbur.

Thank you!

Hey Garry, this might seem like a weird question but have you ever come across any information that when Parker Bros. created gun serial numbered 666 Wilbur took it for his collection?

Mike, my perspective with the research I'm doing has to do with Wilbur's work that was part of the conservation movement in America. I am a student of others here regarding anything of Parker Shotguns. That would be quite intriguing if there was something to connect that serial number to Wilbur.

I’m pretty certain I read that somewhere but I can’t remember where.

I've learned that there may not be an existing portrait of Wilbur, Sr. There is a group shot that includes him with other Parker employees.

Maybe someone out there has information that might lead to a portrait of him?

Thanks again for any help or leads you might offer.

Garry, not sure if this is the Wilbur you’re looking for. From Meriden Journal 4/17/26 article. I can send the clipping.

I talk to Louis quite often. I'm sure he would love to talk to you. If I can help, just ask.

Just mailed another letter to you today.

Thanks so much, Chuck. With Brian Dudley's help I was able to speak with Louis this afternoon. We plan to share information on our research regarding Wilbur, Sr. I really enjoyed talking with him.

Speaking with Louis, your email, and the responses I've gotten so far remind me of how grateful I am for the work of so many in both publishing The Parker Story, and in the creation and maintenance of the PGCA.

My thanks to all.

P.S I'm looking forward to the letter. I value every one as a link to past. Thanks for your diligence and good work.
