I want to recognize Chris Robenalt for his excellent stock work; checking touch-up, recoil pad installations and stock repair. He has fixed a broken Parker stock, installed recoil pads on multiple Foxes, Lefevers, Parkers and Europeans guns for me over the last couple of years. I know several others on the Forum whom he has done similar repairs. I do not like to cut my stock so like in the incidents Chris had to bend the recoil pad to fit the gun. Thanks Chris.

PS: This gun is a C Golden 12 gauge 1880 vintage, T Wild acquired their name and at some point to this gun was re-barreled by Wild with new steel barrels and nito proofed.

Nice work is always appreciated. I love hammer guns, but not in the rain.

Interesting comment - why not in the rain?

Hammer toes slippery when wet, and let down can be a bit dicey. For safety always break action prior to letting down the hammer when conditions are wet.

I have three pre 1895 Sauer & Son hammer guns and one 1820's Westley Richards. Hunt with each. As I stated I like guns, including this one, sporting hammers.
