Hello,
What can anyone tell me about gun listed as PH duck?
Gun has fishtail opener and 30" barrels.

My guess would be a PH grade gun on a 2 or 3 frame with long barrels. Did I win?....

Exactly where is this gun listed as a PH duck? Listed as such on your PGCA Research Letter? Listed as such in a 'for sale' advertisement?

Except for a batch of D grades that were chambered for 3" I would be highly suspect of that gun unless as Dean said "PGCA letter", does it come with that? Somehow I doubt it ! Eric

Thanks all for such fast replys,
Gun is listed on web at Kevins Guns in Ga.

I really do not have any more info?

Bill I have not seen the gun but if it is sleeved you just lost half of the value of the gun. And again even if it not sleeved but does have 3" chambers I would want a letter on that gun showing it left the factory with 3" chambers.
good luck Eric

My guess would be that a PH duck with a fishtail lever would be an NH, or a PH made soon after the NH designation was abandoned.

Hello All,
Called Kevins this AM..This gun was a 12ga..sleeved to accept 20ga.It has been refurbished as well.Still weighs same as a 12..just as soon shoot 7/8 oz loads in my 12s and be done with it.Hard to understand why people do this to fine guns.
Thanks,
Bill

Bill, It just seems that for every nice honest gun a person finds you will have to wade past 5 or 10 humped up guns. It's just the way it is I guess....

I won't go to the website to look at it, but my opinion is that an old 12 gauge PH with any modifications becomes a $100 gun at best.

Bill, A 20 ga phe or ph is a rare find with 32" original barrels and I mean rare!

It is a A PH 12ga sleeved to 20. Not much that can be done with it now. If you bore it for slugs and fit it with a 40mm flare launcher, you would have a drilling which might be useful for someone who is concerned about being abducted by aliens yet again. Fishtail PH12 is likely from 1892 and is probably a 2 frame gun and close on 9 lbs. Not exactly what you want in a 20ga. Dumb and dumber. Someone just turned a shotgun into a $20 paperweight.

I guess Kevin once worked for Cabela's as a Gun Library manager.

I buy that..was in Ft.Worth last week.
Not only did the "clerk" not know anything about guns but was rude as well..

The only guns I buy at Cabelas are the ones that are underpriced .
I believe they price their guns by what they paid for them.
Guns are either over priced or underpriced by a wide margin.

Bill,
Now that you are into Parkers, does that mean you will sell me one of those
