Just finished up this project. Barrels redone by Breck Gorman and some cracks disappear thanks to another artist Dan May Classic Gunstocks. I couldn't be happier. I normally shy away from project guns but this is a circa 1911 PH 8 gauge with 36" bbls. Someone cleaned 1/3 of the left barrel with steel wool and it killed all the color. A gun worth preserving in my opinion.

Agreed, that one is worth preserving Craig. Surely you can show us a little more of it, unless there's a future article in the works possibly ? Congrats on a great find.

The trigger guard looks tiny compared to that big frame, beautiful Parker! Bobby

Yeah, the same sized guard is used on all Parker frame sizes. And it is very small looking on these big guns.

The gun looks great craig.

A few quick pictures. The forend had two 4 inch cracks along both sides and two metal pins visible both top and bottom. The stock had a crack on the left side runner from the top tang down towards the checkering, you can just see it in the photo take enlarged.
