I'm interested in purchasing and restoring a Parker for upland hunting. I was leaning towards a 20 Ga., with 26" barrels. I would like to keep the gun in original spec while restoring. Where do I start? What model? I have lots to learn. Teach me! :)

First buy all the Parker books you can and read them.

Read some Parker books, determin your budget....Buy the highest original condition gun you can aford. Wood, metel and barrels should not have any major isues. Gun must fit you! restocking is very expensive! Ask advice here befor you buy any Parker...have auction link or pictures with good description. VH or VHE grades in 20ga, 16ga, or 12ga. will be some of the least expensive ones to look at. 410 and 28ga are out of the running unless you have gobs of money to spend! In the 28 ga. a Parker repro is the best value gun to buy...they start at 4K normally and are very nice guns that shoot very well. thanks all SXS ohio...(-:
