Christmas came early this year at my house. As I was unwrapping the 3E when the UPS guy pulled up and honked.
The 3E had a forend built from scratch by Jerry Andrews along with the buttstock refit and reshape and checkered. My VHE had the buttstock splice refinished and painted by Mark Lawson. Could not be happier with the results.

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated.
The buttstock was pretty gross when I started. Someone did a fair job with the inletting but the stock shape and checkering were not L.C. Smith. I reshaped the stock and recheckered to the correct pattern. I love pre-13 guns, I was hoping Phil would adopt me legally and give me the gun for Christmas! Jerry
