We had a family outing to Amelia Shotgun Sports in Yulee, Florida. Great small club. Harry shot a 12 G toplever. I shot a GH 16

Can't beat fishing for red bellies in that black water.

Well Harry looks as if he's doing okay with that hammer 12 and it seems to me you already have a hammer 16 . So it's only logical you take the plunge and buy a PARKER hammer 20 gauge as well

I decided a while ago to not go after a Parker hammer 20, since there seem to be so few and other people want them more than I do. That may change if the right one comes along.

I’d be satisfied with a Grade 2 in 16 gauge . But you’re right for the right price and or at a weak moment

We had a Parker hammer 20 on display at Pheasant Fest. Fortunately, it was not for sale

I’m not sure which I’d like to acquire more right now . A VH 410 , a GH 8 or a Grade 2 16 top lever .

My pick would be a 410 since that is the only major gauge I don't have. Going to be a while until that happens.

I suspect when the actual laying out of the scheckels takes place a hammerless 8 will most likely be next on my list . Well that is provided I can get more new hulls !

A hammerless 8 was the first of my big ticket gun purchases

I like the hammer gun I have quite a bit . But being right at 14 pounds with 36” pipes it makes me think a hammerless six frame with 32 or 34 inch factory length barrels would be much more accommodating to hunt a bit with

my 32 inch hammer 8 ga handles really well..it use to have 34 inch on it but some body used a hacksaw on it..have to say they done a good job except fthey didn't feel the end cap hole back up...I have been gona fix it for a long while may just let the next fellow fix it if he wants too...charlie
