Thanks to all who have generously shared their knowledge and good advice while gently schooling me on Parker Repros!
Just thought I’d share that I found a DHE/SSS in very nice condition at a local mom and pop gun shop. Features are straight grip, btfe, double triggers, 28 in IC/Mod barrels, 7lb, 14 1/8 in stock.
I prefer a pistol grip and it’s way too short for me. It was priced right, however and I went ahead and bought it with plans to sell or re-stock it. I picked it up yesterday and decided to try it out, just for the heck of it. With a slip on pad it's actually shootable and now I don’t think I can bring myself to sell it. I guess I’m on the hunt for another Parker. :)

That’s the ultimate 12 bore field gun! Hang on to that beauty. A very scarce configuration. 20 bore repros weigh almost as much!

That’s a wonderful configuration. And those chokes are perfect for a field gun or on the SC or Skeet fields.

Great looking gun and it can just about anything. You can't sell it!

That is not the configuration and wood quality of a Repro that many people would part with. That is why such a gun does not appear on the market very often. They are mostly kept in collections.

You will most certainly like it. My IC/Mod chokes measure .006/.012, more like skeet/lt. Mod. It is a wonderful combination for just about anything as you have already found out. Congrats on a nice gun.

You knocked it out of the park, Brett. Congrats on a great find (and a smart move to act on it).

That double triggers, straight grip, and beavertail is one of the hardest configurations to find. If you shoot clays in the off season you will really appreciate the beavertail.Good job!

John,
Thanks so much for posting! Of the 350-odd SSS guns made, how many would you guess were in this configuration?

Brett, When you restock that gun, can you send that ugly piece of wood to me so I can make a Knife handle or Pipe out of it? :)

Very nice, I'd love one just like it, cept with splinter forearm.
