I just got a new toy. 1901 GH Damascus 12ga on a #1 frame, 28” and 6 3/4#.
Things got quiet at the office so I cut out early and went to the dairy. 30 birds in 90 minutes.

Nice! Feedlots, dairies, grain elevators and collared dove make for lots of fun.

I love the lighter weight 1 frame 12s. They are indeed "bird getters." You've got a really nice one!

My moms first cousin had a winter house in Arizona , half the year in Manakin Sabot VA and half the year in AZ . He was the consummate golf BUMM retired LOL’s . But I could see getting a winter house in Arizona to go out and Eurasian Dove shoot each day

You gotta love the 1-frame 12's. I see grilled bacon/dove poppers in your future....

Nice gun Dave, G engraving is really nice! I was shooting my 1 1/2 frame 12 last week. Are you shooting down off Elliot & Sossaman? Dale and I are out in that area every Saturday. I've posted pics under "Hunting with Parkers". I think the nesting is over. Birds everywhere now!

Don't need to go to Arizona. We have lots of them in Washington and Idaho. Just need a place to shoot near a grain elevator, feed lot or dairy farm.

Dave the engraving on the floor plate is fabulous. IMO that engraving is about as nice as I have seen on a GH. I have some but nothing that compares to that at all. Mine are later guns, makes me wonder if that early engraving was just of a higher quality which I seem to recall reading that it was according to some folks. Congrats on a great gun !
