Every so often I feel little pangs of regret or remorse that I resigned as editor of the journal of the finest classic American side-by-side shotgun on this continent.

The new issue arrived a few days ago and I have only read one article so far and that article immediately brought those “pangs” front and center. That article is one that I wish I could have edited. There was literally nothing that could have been done to improve it in any way. It was “finished” in every sense. I would have been very proud to have been editor again for just the perfection displayed in the writing of it.
It was very well done in that it was informative, told the whole story and at the same time, was humorous without being pretentious. Just plain excellent!

Congratulations to Randy Roberts for his contribution “A Sin City Sweetheart”!

Yup! Great article.

And, Dean, you can now devote more time to your own writing projects which I am anxious to read.

Dean,

Enjoy the extra time you have now to do the other things that have been on the back burner ... but don't forget that your hard work and dedication to this organization will always be appreciated and never forgotten.

"Parker Shotguns and Dean Romig, Beginning to Now". Just a suggestion.

Dean Romig is probably the most prolific writer in the history of Parker Brothers shotguns. Personally I was sorry to see him step down. He was always supportive of my writing efforts. But I don’t think we could have better successors in Mike and Sam. Randy’s story was the first one I read and I couldn’t put it down.

You flatter me Miks. I can count on both hands and both feet authors of “Parker Brothers” stories, history, technica, etc. who are all far superior to the stuff that flows from my mind and my keyboard... but Thank You for your very kind words - I am humbled.

I enjoyed working with you on your Parker Chronicles installments - not that any of your writing ever required any input from me!
Your writing style is magnetic and flows very nicely.

Well as long as we're having a love fest. Randy's article was wonderful. Hats off to him. Mike Frazen's "Parker Chronicles" is always my favorite and always the first article I read in Parker Pages. And Dean was a great Editor and always fantastic to work with. Mike K. and Sam are picking up right where Dean left off. We are all very blessed.
