Any good smiths out there who can find or shape/fabricate a replacement hammer on a hammergun? This is for an H&R 20ga double. Thanks.

Is the hammer you need missing entirely, or simply broken? Photos of the existing hammer?

It’s broken. Actually it’s an old repair but it broke again and the smith can’t weld it so they’re going to return it. Here’s a picture of the good left side hammer. I need the right side hammer. Thanks for any suggestions.

Dave Fjeline has them or can make them. I was just up there last week and could not tell the difference between original and replacement.

You may want to scroll through here. 133 pages with 99 parts per page. You would be surprised at the guns they disassemble.

Thanks James, I spoke with Dave and I'll be shipping out the pieces to him to see what he says.

Thanks Jerry, I checked out Numrich, Dixie, and the other parts sellers, even Dyson in the UK for a similar sized matched pair. no luck. I'm sure there is one out there somewhere hiding in a drawer.

I saw those as well. They had a longer throw than what I needed. I ended up finding and buying a matched pair with a throw that was almost spot on from Dyson. I had them shipped to Bachelders and he was pretty confident they would work. But he couldn't get them to fit.:banghead:.
