I have a parker gun stock with the trigger gaurd on it. I
Need help identifying what model and gauge it is. The trigger gaurd and stock are stamped 8847. The trigger gaurd also has engravings and C H P. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

That is not a Parker Brothers stock but probably off a European gun using aParker name

Yes it is. The numbers under the trigger gaurd match

I'm trying to find out what model and gauge the gun is based on the serial number please

We are trying to help you. It's not a Parker Brothers stock or trigger guard.

Why is C.H.P. Engraved on it then?

Ask the guy that engraved it. How would we know?

Both Jim and I told you the truth but I guess you've studied and collected Parker Brothers shotguns more than we have.

Ok. Could you just tell me what a parker s shotgun labeled 8847 would be?

That is an LC Smith stock.
Regular frame.

It is hard to tell for sure from your photos, but I don't think it is a factory smith stock.

Could anyone forget about the stock and tell me what a parker shotgun serial number 8847 was. Please

I would suggest picking up a copy of the serialization book and you can look that number up, if it is in there.

Yes it is. The numbers under the trigger gaurd match

If you only have one thing with a number on it, what does it match?
Maybe it's just me, but If I had something I knew nothing about, I wouldn't argue with people on a forum, who actually might know something about it.
Where did you get the idea that CHP meant it was a Parker?

Brice, that serial # belongs to a straight stock Parker. Your stock has a pistol grip. I have an old Smith receiver and side plates that would fit your stock perfectly.
