10 gauge non-toxic shot shells

I plan on doing some duck hunting over the Holidays jump shooting ducks off of the stock tanks in southern AZ. I would like to shoot my DH Parker and am looking for some recommendations on what shells I can use,what shot size, as well as where I can order these shells. Your recommendations are apprciated.

Thanks, I have used a lot of RST shells in the past, not sure why I had not thought of them. Anyone have any personal experience with these shells on ducks? What size shot do you recommend?

You have a rather limited choice from RST with only sizes 2, 4 and 5 available in 2 7/8" 10ga Nice Shot. With those choices I would use the number 4's for big puddle ducks such as Mallards. If you are shooting at smaller ducks I'd go with the 5's.

I've been considering some of the RST shells for my 10 gauge W.C.Scott . I'd like to take a atleast one mallard and one canada goose with the old gun !

Was just a little hesitant about shooting the Nice Shot .

But maybe a box of #2 for geese and a box of #4 for duck is all I need !

Craig you can shoot Nice Shot through the old guns without worry as long as the gun has been inspected and is safe to shoot.

A box of two's and a box of four's will probably be all that you can afford....:rotf: The stuff isn't cheap but really how many shells do you fire on a day out in the field. Eric

If I'm not mistaken the 10 gauge 2 7/8" loaded shells are $40 for a box of 10 !

Since I already load I'd looked about ordering some of the shot and loading my own ! I think they normally sell it in 6 pound bags , but I also saw some of 2.2 pounds for like $60 . Was actually thinking of getting a bag of #2's and using it for both !

Anyway all I'm intrested in doing is taking a Canada and a Mallard or Woodie with the W.C. !
Isn't a matter of I'm a big waterfowler or anything . My 10 gauge W.C. was my maternal grandfathers !
So this past season I used handloaded #8's for dove and took enough for a meal . Then used handloaded 00 Buck and shot a nice meat doe with the old gun !
Now I wish to get a duck , goose , rabbit , squirrel and possiblt a long beard !

There is no negative in using shot bigger than neccesary. I have used #2 and BB for ducks for years because that is what I have in ten gauge ammunition. No duck has complained and there are fewer shot in the meat.
