Hammer and sear

I have a 16 gauge hammer gun with the right trigger pull that is extremely light. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith to correct this.

Brian., I was hoping someone would answer you. I have the opposite problem--trigger pulls so heavy on a 12 ga hammer grade 2 that you cant stay on the target trying to get them to break.

Gunsmiths who use a fixture and oil stone produce the most consistent and accurate results when reconditioning sear angles.

Dan May classic gunstocks is replacing hammers and setting the triggers for me on a Fox. Someone took a dremel tool to the hammer notch which created hair triggers. Give him a call be does trigger work. Craig

Dan is a good choice since he does all the current Miller trigger installations and he works alone. Shops with multiple employees may not be open, Turnbulls closed last friday.

Griffin & Howe repaired the triggers on a 12 gauge hammer Parker that would double every time I used the left barrel first. The trigger pulls were so light that they felt like hair triggers. The turn around time was less than 3 weeks and the cost was very reasonable.

Yup. Any gun shops and gunsmiths that had employees or were open to the public are closed as they are “non-essential” (in NY at least).

Sole Props are exempt from that BS.
