He is briefly mentioned here , I couldnt find much info about him .

In British Gunmakers, Vol. 2, Nigel Brown puts T. H. Thursby & Son at 60 Sheep St., Northhampton from 1955-57m then at 16 Sheep St. from 1963-93. That's it.

i did notice that if you search for Thursby and Northampton you find they were a prominent citizens for a few hundred years in politics and the clergy - including a peerage and there is a road named after them


sir john had Hardy as a middle name- i wonder if there was a connection to the fishing family)

there is a good chance he was a seller not a maker so that with no patents information would be limited
