Thank for allowing me to join this great forum, there is tons of great information here on Parker's and I've enjoyed researching what I could about this parker shotgun. I don't really know the history behind it, my father got it from his brother many years ago, the stock was missing then. I was wondering if a replacement could be bought reasonably, since I doubt this one is worth alot but makes a nice wallhanger. though not sure if we are capable of restoring it as it should be but thinking about it. I think the left Hammer has been changed at some point since it is different and doesn't fit as well with the rest of the gun.

Welcome aboard, Bruce! You have quite a project there. I, too, would be interested in restocking a Lifter. I have an 1879 vintage 10 gauge that has been restocked. Not a bad job, but not a great job, either! Don't be too hasty about hanging it on the wall. It may be shootable. Good luck with your endeavours. Cheers!

An interesting Parker and another with the roll-stamped engraving on the lock plates, however, the rest of it is hand engraved. You're right, the left hammer is a replacement but you may be able to find a correct hammer for it. What frame size is your Parker?

Thanks for the comments guys, the frame size is a 1, it's a 12 ga. It seems pretty tight and clean I believe it could be shot, just not sure I'd really want to shoot a gun that old. :)
