I’ve noticed that the belly screws on some Repro’s can appear to be damaged depending upon the orientation of the screw-heads engraving in relation to the slot, when in fact, there is no damage. In this case however, it appears you’re correct - both the lock screws (right nomenclature?) on the sides of the frame, and the belly screws appear to have some damage. Good eye.

Never a screw turned huh? How did they get them into the gun at the factory?
And I wonder how they explain the misalignment and distortion to many of the screws on the gun.

Brian, "never had a screw turned" is a beloved phrase well remembered by some of our more "vintage" members, particularly those of the Foxist persuasion. Its former user is no longer on the planet, but the memories linger on.......

I know. I have heard of him and that phrase. My comment above was borrowed from another member who asked the same thing.

Experience tells me that if you shoot a gun enough, some screws are going to need turning.

It sure hasn't been carried much if at all. My 28ga repro lost more case color than that in shipping to me. I don't see any loss of color on this one. They didn't wrap the parts in the case so they rattled around and there was CC "glitter" in the case when I got it. It was a long time major shop that shipped it too.

Here's hot link for the gun being discussed.
It makes me wonder. Why have so many of the screws been turned?
