Huey uses a spray on glue. Can’t remember which manufacturer.

Whatever you use, I would recommend checking to be sure the glue is considered archival, or at least PH neutral, to avoid staining and other nasty results down the road. I worked in an art conservation lab and we spent a great deal of our time trying to repair and reverse the affects of acidic glues.

The reason they that they use hide glue is you can remove the label from the case intact, the other glues damage the label and/or the case when removed.

Kade Gile who does all the restoration work on vintage cases for Huey's Gun Cases uses Titebond Hide glue for all case labels. You can use water for clean up with no staining to the fabric or light steam to remove the label if needed.
