I'm another newbie; name: Doug. My Parker side-by-side is a VH model made in 1908, a hunting gun my father-in-law used to shoot. Growing up in the Klamath Basin, OR side -- the "bottleneck of the Pacific Flyway with peak fall waterfowl numbers over a million -- I was a fanatic for duck & goose hunting over decoys. I took up skeet shooting to improve my aim when hunting. While living in Anchorage, AK I hunted geese in the eel grass beds on the AK Peninsua every fall. Back in OR, 60 miles from the Klamath Basin, I joined a hunt club for better waterfowl hunting. Since chemo about 15 years ago I haven't gone bird hunting and I'm planning to give my Parker side-by-side to my nephew on my wife's side tomorrow.
I've never fired my Parker; in fact it hasn't been fired since the 1930s and still has almost all of its original bluing. I'd like to give my nephew a "ball park" value for this shotgun. Can anyone help me?

Doug,

Welcome aboard. About the only way we can give a ball park value is if we see good close up pictures. A VH can be had from $300.00 to $5,000.00 or better. The run of the mill well taken care of VH would set you back about $2,000.00 give or take. Please let us see your Parker.

Kindest, Harry
