Do Remington-built Parker DHE forend tips have an "eyebrow" as the Meriden-built DHE's have or are they flat like a Parker Reproduction DHE?
Anyone here have a good close-up and in-focus pic of a Remington-built Parker DHE forend tip that they could post?

The change to the forend tip was made in the late 1920s. I believe.

The Parker Reproductions very closely copied the Remington made guns, including the forend tip.

Attached is a pic of two forend tips. The tip on the left is on a 1911 DH which has the eyebrow, the tip on the right is on a Parker Reproduction which I'm describing as flat. Bruce has posted a pic of a 1939 Parker tip that appears to be flat, but also has what I'd call shoulders.
Dean, you posted that Parker Repro forend tips were closely copied to those on the Remington built guns.
Brian, if I'm understanding you correctly, the switch to the flat or flat with shoulders tips was made while the guns were still being built in Meriden and prior to the move to Ilion, is that right?

Brian is correct. It was a little earlier, but mid 20s for lower grade guns. To my knowledge, VH grade guns didn't have the bump. My only VH grade is 117,xxx, so that's no guide.

Correct edgar. VH guns were always plain. And it was in the 20s at some point that other grades followed suit.
I think it was at the same time that the spur cane off the buttplates. Which would be mid 20s.
