After a multi year search for just the right one, I finally have a Parker 16 hammer gun. 0 frame, 28" barrels and Quality 2. Stock is a replacement which is a negative but it is not too bad.
Looking forward to shooting it which will happen soon

Mills, That is is very nice! I would not worry too much on the replacement stock, which you could always fix and improve someday if you wanted. That gun has everything else going for it! A grade 2 16 gauge hammer gun with case coloring, a fish tail lever and lightening cuts...it's beautiful!
Let us know how she shoots...

Well, Chuck produced the letter. Looks like it was shipped to W. S. Brown Co in Pittsburgh
More interesting, the 12 gauge that came with it was shipped to E K Tryon Co and there is a notation "Crosby" in the order. W. R. Crosby? The 12 is a 61,000 sn number and is also a toplever Grade 2 on a 1 frame
16 on top, 12 on bottom

Beautiful guns. The fishtail levers are really nice, and the case color remaining is awesome.

Very nice ! I’d suggest having the stock that’s on it checkered and say good enough

Mills,
There was one at the Fall Southern in 2012 where we first met. It was light, handled like a dream and I could afford it, but I was in the selling mode. How much does yours weigh?

I have not weighed it but it actually seems a little heavy. The wall thickness is 30 to 40

That gun will be easy to carry all day. It can be used for targets and live birds. One good thing about the non original stock is you can alter it to your dimensions. These 0 frame 16's are my favorite for hunting behind pointing dogs. With practice both hammers can be cocked with your dominant thumb. Bingo on that excellent find.

i agree on the thumb to cock both hammers at the same time...charlie
