Posted for John Davis. Can't get the picture up.
Shot my GHE in the Atlanta Fall Classic yesterday. 200 single targets.
Shot a 97 in the AM and 98 in the PM to tie for champion. Lost the
Shoot off 24 to 25 and got runner up.

To clarify, I think Charlie Herzog put Jeff up to this. It was a nasty day. Overcast with occasional rain showers and a constant gusty wind. Targets were skipping around. I missed three and was down one bird after the first hundred targets (97x100). Then I dropped two targets in the first round of the second hundred. After that I went straight for the next three boxes (98x100). Wound up tied for Champion. I dropped one in the shoot off and the other gentleman shot straight through (24 to 25). Needless to say my GHE was the only side by side in the event and somewhat of a novelty.

I've had her for about 3 months. Bought her to shoot doubles, then about 3 weeks ago I decided to try her out on singles when I started shooting my SB like crap??? She's been doing double duty ever since. Shot her over at a tournament in Alabama last weekend and she performed very well there also. And once again turned a few heads. Everyone keeps telling me you can't be successful at trap, shooting a side x side. But I'm hard headed.

Just remember John, it's the indian not the arrow. Nice shooting with any gun. I get the same comments at my club so I guess I'm hardheaded also. Where was this event held?

You’re way nicer then I am , I’ll not elaborate on what I told some at our club when they started saying that junk . Of course whipping their butts a few times helped shut them up as well . But on a kinder note you can tell them success isn’t necissarily judged by wins and losses

Daryl, the shoot was held at the Tom Lowe shooting grounds on the southwest side of Atlanta. It's where they held the Olympic trap and skeet shooting in 1996.

John, I attended the skeet events at the 1996 Olympics because I was an active International Skeet competitor at the time and knew the USA team very well, having shot with them. I understand that the Olympic ranges on the Tom Lowe property have been dismantled, a real waste if that is true. They were an architectural work of art. I have great pictures of the event that I will show you when we get together.

Bill, I would like to see those pictures. I suspect you are correct regarding the dismantling.
