My friend Mark has always liked the big ones, and he found a new goose gun.

Bruce, I flew about 50 feet behind and 150-200 feet above one of those over the north east corner of Ben Hoa one night around mid-night when it fired. I had just taken off. Fire ball, concussion and noise all at once. I thought the world had ended. Cheers, Tom

Now, that's a Cutts Compensator. Wonder how many choke tubes are included?

Well I'll tell you the story. The self propelled howitzer is in Offerle, Kansas, on Hwy 50 east of Dodge, where I was this last weekend helping a friend with a party of pheasant hunters. Mark has been out there before and gets a big kick with the name on this cannon, so I thought I would make his day, or at least his minute.

Bruce, you are right, Charlie, Jim Hall, Allan and I have had some fun with this piece. I doubt if I get out there any time soon. Thanks for the memories.

I'm thinking that is an SP 8 inch rather than a 155. Some Redleg out there ought to be able to say for sure.

Hey Pete, Where did ya find that nice single trap? 34 foot barrels?

There was a pair of them in Rye NH during WWII and I always wanted one. Recoil is a little stiff with the 2700 pound shot charge but not too bad with the lighter 1900 pound load.
