It is a PH with 36" barrels. If the shock and blast doesn't kill, you can always just reach up and poke it out of the air with it.

The blast and recoil wouldn’t bother me at all . Parting with the cabbage is a totally different issue however :rotf:

I think I know that gun  I'm sorry that he broke up the collection.............. Not Steve, the original buyer of my collection as it took a long time to put together.

Charlie, you should see the high condition DH with the flat rib. It is a fabulous Parker and probably 1 of 1....

Mr.Charlie I am in the same boat I am 26 and when I first learned of the 8 gauge when I was a teenager they have held a certain aura about them to me .

The 36" barrels are long but probably two years ago there was one listed with 38" barrels a hammerless 8 gauge for 19,000$ I believe it was .

There “was” a fellow in PA , Lancaster county if my memory is correct . Anyway he had a rather nice accumulation of 8’s . Think he had six or eight of the LC Smith 8’s , several Parker’s and a few others . I never met this gentleman and only knew of him thru a mutual friend . Think he passed 3 or 4 years ago .

The unfortunate thing about Colorado is you can't hunt with anything larger than a 10 gauge...ridiculous I think.

I was surprised that we can hunt with 8 gauges here , as we dont have a max gauge size but instead a minimum gauge size . Nothing smaller than 20 gauge for big game which Turkey is classified as .
