Why is the email notification not working when you subscribe to a threat?

I’ve wondered that myself. And I can no longer see who is visiting or reading a particular thread.

There must have been an Internet backup for some reason. Overnight I received about 40 emails, some of which I had wondered why I hadn't received them days earlier....

In order to receice an email notification, you must have participated (posted to) that thread.

I noticed that you cannot see who is viewing a thread anymore. I noticed this shortly after the Server was upgraded. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I have noticed the last few days that Email notifications of thread reply have been very slow to come in. Some up to a day late. And they will all flood in at once.

Hi Dean and all,

Yes, I took off the ability to "watch who else" is viewing that thread given the server loads. And since the Cookies expire sometime after someone leaves the forum (by several minutes) - it really didn't make much sense? And too - do we really need to "watch" what others are reading at the same time?

The mail server was upgraded as well, and in so doing, the mail was stacked as other mail servers (AOL, gMail, etc.) reconciled the new IP. You can complain to them to refresh their DNS Records faster - but - not sure they will really care. YMMV though...

Have a great evening,

John D.

It was just an interesting and nice feature a lot of us had gotten used to.
