How long does it usually take to get it back after you mail check and info? I've worn a path to mailbox looking for it.

Chuck usually gets them out pretty quickly. I have had issues recently with the mail taking forever to deliver them. Some took two weeks from when Chuck mailed them to when I got them.

I would say the ones I have ordered normally arrive in 2 weeks from the time I order them, on average. I always just assumed Mills had a pile of them ahead of me.

No doubt...you don't want to get behind one of Mill's batches!

Ordering your letters online will speed the process up substantially as well. I have found it to be very effective and very simple.

To All:

I can guarantee to you that it has NOTHINGTON to do with Chuck's response to issue a gun letter.Double guaranteed ! He is one of the most conscientious individuals that volunteers his time to the PGCA.

Guess that I am just tired/frustrtated of people posting issues on the web , instead of just calling or emailing to resolve an issue.

It is time to turn in my responsibility as treasurer, etc. after 20 years of dedication, many, many personal dollars, service, and donations of time .

I will second those comments wholeheartedly Allan. We all appreciate what Chuck does and we also appreciate what you have done. For what it's worth I guess I never interpreted Jeffs comments quite that way but I get where you're coming from. Thanks again!

I don't think anyone was complaining Allan. I think Chuck does a great job. I think the turn around time is excellent!

Allan, maybe you and Dean can find one ambitious person to cover both of your jobs. Second choice, maybe you two can trade jobs. Just kidding of course.

I didn't take Jeff's comment as a complaint. We all know what it's like waiting for something importent to come in the mail, it never gets here fast enough. Really all Jeff, or anybody, needs to do is send me a PM or e-mail (pgcaresearch@verizon.net) and I will investigate.

Thanks for the nice comments and I don't plan on giving up the job anytime soon. Allan, if your serious, I think you would miss not making out checks and balancing the books. You and Dean are two of the best!

Coincidentally, I just ordered a letter today online. I have always been pleasantly suprised when my letters arrive, because it is always before I expect them. Also, Chuck usually posts when he is going to be out of pocket for more than a few days. Also, I agree with Mills. The USPS seems to exhibit a steady decline in expediency for first class mail. You have to assume that their premium services must be eating up their bandwidth.

How will we ever fill Allan’s shoes?

Not a bad idea... maybe we should exchange jobs...

Giving Chuck kudos is long over due and Allan has worked his ass off for this group forever. I makes me very proud of what Chuck has accomplished as I am the guy That coerced him into doing it 🤣

My point

Why the hell can't a person pick up a phone , email , text someone with an issue , instead of going on a public forum to notify the world with HIS problem-----THAT IS THE ISSUE. Use the PGCA web for its intent ----THE PARKER GUN TOPICS and related subjects.

I am sure Dean, Mary, the BOD ,Chuck, Ed, and as well as myself hear all we want about what is wrong. What about what is good ? And once in a while someone says THANKS, but not often !!!

WE are volunteers, not paid employees. WE all donate time & effort to make the PGCA what it is, a renowned gun organization.

Enough

Allan, and anyone reading this - because of the unselfish dedication of the volunteers who make this PGCA machine continue to make progress, it is the very best gun collectors organization in the country... maybe the world.

My hat’s off to all of our volunteers. Thank You All!
