Greetings! I'm pleased to have recently joined this forum. I own a VH 12 on a 1 1/2 frame (s/n 211511) with 30 inch barrels, choked F/F. The gun is unmolested and in great condition considering it's age. It's been handed down in my family since purchased by my Great Uncle in 1925 and will continue down to my son and his son and so on and so on. :)

I'm not a hunter (at least not yet) but like shooting trap with my Parker. It garners a lot of positive attention from folks at the gun club where I shoot. Recently retired, I'm soaking myself in the history of Parker shotguns and am enjoying this forum immensely. Such a great source of information!

Big D,

You nailed it. I'm a Talley from Talleyville. Went to Brandywine HS and UDEL. Dad ran Talley's garage at Foulk and Shipley. When he passed, I inherited my Parker from him.

Now that I'm retired and have time on my hands, I've gotten back into trap with this gun. Shooting at West Chester Gun Club these days but also have shot skeet at Ommelanden if you know where that is.

Don't I know it. At least my wife has an equally expensive hobby, if not more so. She has a horse. :)

Welcome, Michael. Trust me, your retirement will be enriched by your affiliation with this group...and your Parker ownership. Enjoy!

Welcome Michael. Do they still shoot sporting clays at Ommelanden? I shot there quite a bit in the 90's when George Long ran the operation.

I also shot at Ommelanden when George Long was the manager. I would love to have that facility moved to within five miles of my home. What is going on at Ommelanden today?

Just to let you guys know, George Long has been gone from there for quite a while!! Sporting clays was shut down at least 10 years ago if not a lot more. They should have 2 trap fields, 2 skeet fields and 1 wobble trap set up and may still have a 5 stand set up. I haven't been down there for a visit in 3-4 years. Most of the emphasis has been moved to Owens Station in Sussex County.
