In honor of the 20th annual Spring Southern, our display this year will be 20 gauges. Hope to see a wide variety of Parker 20's.
Please let me know if you are able to bring a 20 to display. :bigbye:

Mills,
I'd be happy to display my W.R.Crosby 20/30" which was recently featured in the latest DGJ in an article by the equally infamous S. Cambria aka Toolman, or a GHE 28" damascus, or a 32" GHE 20 with a flat rib or the last PHE made. a 20/26".

LC Smith is doing a 20 gauge display too. It will be a sight to see a bunch of Parker and Smith 20 gauges in the same place. Of course, we want our display to be a little better!

Mills I'm shooting all 16's at Drakes but could drop off a 20 if you want. Due to space constraints I'll bring only one your choice,
A) DHE straight grip high condition 30 inch vent rib
B) DHE pistol grip 28 inches excellent condition factory sling swivels and a LOP of 15 inches
C) BHE straight grip with 32 inch bbls

I thought displaying guns in the PGCA tent was for PGCA members only?

Let me guess. Is it Rich that is no longer a PGCA member? I remember a year, not too long ago, that PGCA suggested we display our interesting guns in the PGCA tent, and then billed us for display space. Well, they billed SOME of us, but not others. Never again, guys. My Parkers are on display in Maryland.

Bill- I am not sure what you mean by your post but if you wish to discuss this please PM me.
And yes, partaking in PGCA events is for paying members of the club.

I said it in my post. PGCA offered display space for interesting guns, then billed us (me and others) for display space. Not much more to say. I am and was a first year life member if that is your question. I was a life member the year in question, had guns only for display, still was required to pay to display them.

No hijacking the thread unless someone wants the job of organizing the display

Having been a director for 6 years and an events coordinator for near 10, I’ve earned the right to speak up - allowing non-paying forum members the same privilege as paying members is wrong, and not in the interest of the PGCA as an organization. We have nearly 1400 paying members - none of whom that I know of, have volunteered to subsidize freeloaders on the website or at our events - both of which cost money.

So you are saying if a none paying member had an A-1 special that they were willing to display (and risk) for everyone to see, you would deny all of us from seeing that gun!
Sorry Josh :nono:

I have displayed a couple of my beater guns in the PGCA tent in the past, display only not sale, as those that have sales racks get charged back to defray the costs that the PGCA pays.
Because the PGCA gets the space, it controls the space.
I have not been to the Southern in a few years but this year I’ll be there and driving Mr. Charlie. I have banners and some of the PGCA owned tablecloths that I will bring. I have some 20 ga Parkers I can scrape the mud off and put on a display only rack.
I suppose that those with display or sales guns not in the PGCA tent can always ask Bill who owns the range if it would be OK if they just put out a table or truck tailgate on the grounds for their guns. That way they could avoid dealing with the pesky PGCA rules.
This is one of them beside a local artifact. I’m keeping the photo for memory when cows become seen only in zoos. I’m ordering steak at the foundation dinner.
