I was at the American Museum of Fly Fishing today, and made the rounds at their neighbors as I left. The AH is a very nice gun, with engraving that is not exceeded by very many AAH or A1S. I would encourage anyone interested to take a look at the 34inch, 5 frame dam 3 exposed hammer ten gauge gun.

Best, Austin

The AH at Orvis is a really nice gun, but the 25K price tag is way too steep in my book.

Bill ... I don't find a 10 gauge on the Orvis website either ... I'm sure Austin will clear that up for us ... The AH gun I spoke of is a hammerless 12 gauge SN 59517 that's listed under "Used Consignment Guns"

I made the same comment about the big ten when I was there; the department manager thought it was posted.
It is a 34 inch 5 frame ten top action dam 3 l; I noted that it was early top action production. Relatively good condition for what it is. I can't remember the s/n, but it may be 28319.

Jay - Where? I can't find a 10 gauge section.

BTW, what's up with a $2,000 M21? Seems someone would have bought that and cleaned it up

Jay, exactly where is the ten gauge on the Orvis site? John, I think someone ought to pick up the 21 too. However, the 21 market, like all other gun markets, is down in the dumps. Last month, I bought a beautiful, high condition, first generation 21 for $3000. Two grand is about all the Orvis gun is worth.

Austin ... I'm curious about the asking price for the 34" 10 gauge because I have a 10 gauge, grade 3, top lever, hammer gun with 34" Bernard barrels ,,, THANKS !

Here is the Parker I assumed everyone was talking about http://www.orvis.com/intro.aspx?dir_id=1089&group_id=15477&cat_id=15480&subject=7715

Yeah, but that's not the hammer gun that is not on the site. I emailed Orvis, actually got a reply that indicated that I could call on the hammer gun but no indication that they had any intention of putting it on the website. Oh well. By the way, the 21 is sold.

Bringing this back to the top. I am about to leave for AMFF. I will drop in at Orvis if I get a chance
