Let's pretend you're out stalking deer and you came upon this scene of some whitetail deer that are either looking for something to nibble on or are taking a siesta . . . how many can you find? It will take some keen eyes and perhaps a little imagination to come up with the correct answer. An ATTABOY! will be given out to all correct respondants with a very special, prestigious and coveted WILY WOODSMAN title awarded to the first correct respondant.

Each of youse have made a gallant effort in obtaining the prestigious and coveted WILY WOODSMAN title, but so far no one has come up with the correct answer -- but don't worry as you're all given a 2nd chance! The judges have requested that we let this little exercise play out until 5pm CST Thursday before declaring a WILY WOODSMAN title holder and perhaps an ATTABOY! or two.
There has got to be a WW amongst us, no?

WE HAVE A WINNER !! Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, we will have a newly crowned WILY WOODSMAN title holder! I am sorry to say, however; it will not be Robin Lewis. Despite missing a couple of deer, Robin used his great imagination by visualizing long grasses, sticks and other debris as being whitetailed deer. Even though the judges emphatically stated that they would not want to be in the woods simultaneously with Robin, they have decided to award him an ATTABOY! anyway.
The judges have also stated that they will be announcing the name of the WW recipient on Thursday night after 5pm CST in an effort to give those that haven't yet seen this thread a chance to enter and an opportunity of receiving an ATTABOY! award.

I am only able to see four. I do, however see Reggie's grouse, hanging with 3 chickadees.

. . . AND THE WINNER OF THE WILY WOODSMAN TITLE goes to . . . **** DEAN ROMIG ****Dean is truly a WILY WOODSMAN!
Congratulations and high fives goes out to Dean for correctly guessing the number of whitetailed deer in the photo. Dean's guess of "7" was the only entrant submitting the correct number of deer in the photo.
The ATTABOY! Award has been awarded to Robin Lewis. For crying-out-loud, Robin's eyes somehow, someway found 18 deer in that photo! We don't know what he had for breakfast, but we now know we need some of it!
The judges would like to congratulate both Dean and Robin as well as all others that submitted entries for this epic event. Thank you one and all for playing along!
P.S. The photo was taken from our deck here in Northcentral Wisconsin. Yes, we have wolves here that roam the area, most of them are in the northern half of the state. In 2017 the population of wolves in Wisconsin was estimated at 809, the U.P. of Michigan had 662 wolves. It is estimated that each wolf will kill 20 deer per year -- that's over 16,000 deer are killed by wolves each year in WI. In addition, 70 dogs (mostly bear hounds) were killed by wolves in WI in 2017.

Greg, for those of us with bad eyes is there a way you can point out the deer in the photo.
And I don't know about Wisconsin wolf population but to say the UP has only 600 to 700 wolves, only the Feds could come up with that (low ball )number!

I'm going out deer hunting in the morning and will stay out all day, coming in only when I've lost legal shooting light.
Let's see if I see even one....

Good job for anyone that saw more than the...uh, one (1) I saw.
You know, the one on the left, standing out so blatantly; acting like a cardboard cut-out decoy.
Yeah, I saw that one.
