My apologies charlie,
Much in the same vein of Philadelphia (PA) Foxes and Utica (NY) Foxes.
New Britain (CT) Foxes (Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company).

Another New Britain Fox, this one a XE 20 bore that's out doing what she was made to do. Early/1995 gun (#26 gun made according to the order sheet) with Exhibition Turkish and a checkered butt, two barrel set with separate forends numbered 1 & 2 as are the barrels. This bird was taken with its 26-inch barrel, choked .003" (Fox-Cylinder) and .012".

The gun that started this thread was engraved much closer to the original "banner style" Ansley H. Fox C-/CE-Grade engraving that was used during the first couple thousand guns circa 1905-06 from the original factory at Wayne & Bristol Streets. Some examples --
