I had applied for a Parker letter via Chuck Bishop last year and he had no records for my Parker. If anyone can help I would appreciate it ! According to the serial number on the Parker Pages it was made 1877, it has PARKER BROTHERS MAKERS, MERIDEN CONN VULCAN STEEL with reverse arrows facing inward at both ends. The barrels measure 30" All serial numbers match . Thanks, Tom Tillman

tom it sounds like a good gun it will be a vulcan grade gun it was the lowest grade parker till the trogan grade came along....the v grade is made just as good as the high grade parkers just dont have the engraveing and fancy wood the higher grades have...your gun will not be made in 1877 no v grades made then....someone will tell us shortly when they started makeing the v grade guns....have your gun checked out by a good double barrel gun smith and if she checks out take her hunting....charlie

what is the serial number and could you post pictures?

that will help decide the grade

it could be the original barrels were replaced with vulcan barrels by the factory at a later date

there is nothing more anyone can tell you since we really have no information

Clear high resolution pictures of various aspects of your gun is the only way we can discuss the grade and condition of it.
