Thoughts on this 1/2 frame Parker

The 1/2 frame guns were made under Remington ownership so the figure in that stock doesnt look out of place. And, to me, it looks very Remingtonesque

Looks like one of the Parker skeet guns that is being talked about on another thread. That is nice piece of furniture on that gun and like the single selective trigger. BTW Steve Barnett has mislabeled that fore-end, its a Beavertail and not a Splinter.

A couple of observations. First, that is a beautiful gun. I love the BT fore-end. I love the 1/2 frame. I'm good with a single-selective trigger, and the wood is absolutely beautiful! That said, my preference for a 1/2 frame 12, would be double trigger, straight stock. Again, just my opinion, but a single trigger is more appropriate on a competition gun, and then we're talking 2 frame, or even a 3, and of course 30" barrels.
That said, wow! What a beautiful gun! Please excuse the ramblings of an old codger fantasizing about dream guns

7lbs. 7oz. seems very heavy for a 1/2 frame. I've handled a 1/2 frame before that felt like a feather and would kick like the dickens with a 1.25oz load. Maybe a recoil reducer in the stock?

1/2 frame guns are not as light as you may think. I have a 28” barreled one with splinter in the shop here that weighs. About 7 lbs 4 oz.

I thought it looked a little heavy as well. I have a PH 12 on a 1 frame with twist barrels that weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces.
