Purchased my first Parker 20 a couple of months ago. It is just as the Identification & Serial. book says a G grade 20 ga half grip with 28 inch barrels. As always I ordered a letter on the gun and here is where it gets interesting According to the book number 234634 started production in 1930. the last year of any large production. In 1931 only 293 were made.Parker Bros. stock book no. 81 says it was a GH hammerless 20 ga o frame with 28 in barrels and 2 5/8 chambers. the length of pull, drop at the heel and comb match the letter. The Parker letter states that 234634 was completed on Nov. 17, 1934. Seems that the gun just sat in the corner for 4 years as Parker was just holding own. After Remington purchased Parker in June of 1934 the gun was completed. But the kicker is the gun came out a GHE 20 with 2 3/4 chambers.

Interesting!

Those 2 5/8” chambers were cut to that length to accept the 2 3/4” shell. Odd that Remington saw fit to open it 1/8”.....

I have a 28 gauge DHE that is a 1908 gun but sat in the rack until 1912 when Henry A. Bishop ordered it for his wife, Jessie.
