I have a Parker 10 Ga Hammer Gun and have looked through the information on how to find out what I have however the number on the lug that tells the frame size in missing. Was this mark a permanent mark? Thanks

Hi Larry - you have a Grade 2 from the period in which the Grade 2 hammer guns had about the nicest engraving.
You can determine the frame size by measuring in sixteenths of an inch the distance between firing pin centers - or as Bill Murphy points out, the distance from the edge of a firing pin hole in the breech face to the same edge of the other hole being an easier way to measure it.

What Dean says. Looks like a big frame. I am partial to Grade 2's myself

It is a heavy gun - I think it would have been a good one for geese and ducks in it's day

If it's in the 9# range it's probably a 3-frame.

3 frame is most likely.

I see what is left of a 3 stamped on the barrel lug.

I see the 3 also.
Rub some white chalkboard chaulk on the lug and the number will show.
