As you may recall my 15 year old cousin, Sawyer Banks, won his age group in the youth shoot and was high gun overall shooting a Parker Trojan 12 gauge. Well, we just found out he was also the Southern Side x Side Junior Champion. And he was shooting a 20 gauge GH Parker. There is hope for the future.

He shot in two events listed as a youth. 20 gauge American and 20 gauge any make. Both with the little GH. Not sure how they calculated the winner.

John, it is great to see he is putting the little 20 to good use. I hope to involve my grandkids as they get older.

Wow! What a great surprise. Hopefully we can publicize his achievements and attract more young shooters.

There is hope! I personally know that a very nice young man of 21 bought his first side by side at the Southern. A mutual acquaintance ask if I would mind helping a young man that was looking for a grouse gun. After looking over many, he selected a Parker DHE 0 frame 16ga. It looked like it fit him and the dealer was good enough to let him shoot it prior purchase. It was a pleasant experience for me.
