Had a great time with some great friends at Elk Creek Sporting Clays in Owenton, Kentucky today. From left to right is Gerry Addison, Dave Tatman, yours truly, Julia, Randy Roberts and Harry Collins. Every Parker has a story and it was no exception for the fine guns you see racked here. Starting on the left is Randy Roberts 12 ga BHE, 34” bbls, vent rib, 1 1/2 frame beaver tail clay crusher. Next is Dave Tatman’s new VHE, O frame, 28” 20 gauge. Then comes Gerry Addison’s repro SSS, 30” straight stock, BTFE, that also has the factory 28” bbls with it. Sitting beside it is Julia’s Gh 20 with 26” Damascus bbls on the O Frame. Next is “The Hintsman”, VH 12ga, with factory 24” bbls on a 1 frame and weighing 6 1/2 lbs. Finally, Harry Collins gorgeous VH 12, 30” Damascus bbls, straight stock. The original stock and barrels were destroyed by Sherman Bell during one of his famous tests. Extraordinary friends shooting extraordinary guns makes for an extraordinary day. Sure beats working.

A great group of shotguns. Wish there were more " Parker people " in my part of the woods maybe we could plan something like this.

Great photos Mike and good job on the cropping too.
Looks like the "hangin' tree" behind you there for lynching the guy with the highest score.

Thanks to all who attended. It was a great time. We are very fortunate to be able to do this with a group of good folks who share the same interest. We will definitely do this again.

It is always a great day when Parker shooters, or shooters of any classic sxs guns, get together for a day of shooting.
Personally, I am really looking forward to getting together at Addieville in Rhode Island on the 28th. It has been far too long since some of us here in the Northeast have been able to get together like this. We had hoped for better weather for the New Year's Day shoot but that didn't happen. I envy you guys!

Daniel, I know what you mean. This group came from Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Dave Tatman drove 4 hours to get there by 10 am. You could try the new Member Geo Locstor found on the home page to see who is within range of you. It’s worth the effort.

To tell you the truth Reggie I thought about inviting you to this shoot but I thought it would be too far for you to travel. Next time I’ll ask if you’d like to come and you can make that decision and not me.

I appreciate the thought. That would be quite a commute for me, I will map quest it soon to see just how long s drive it would be.

Thanks for the great photos, Mike. Fun times, indeed.
As opposed to the Agrarian South, here in the Industrial Northeast, we just use the stocks, gibbet or ducking stool in the background.
