20 GA Q1/Q2, Out There???

We always find both 12 and 28 GA Repros with Q1/Q2 Choking. I do not believe I have ever seen a 20 choked that way. What about you??

One of our members now owns a DHE 20 (formerly mine) with two sets of barrels, 26" and 28" BOTH choked Q1 and Q2. SG, BTFE, SST.

I have one also at .004/.009. It raises hell with targets to ranges beyond what one might think. I won a 55 yard long bird event with it last year. Did not break them hard but they broke.

Mine has double triggers, beavertail forend,26"bbls and a straight stock. Pretty handy shotgun. Also have a similar gun in 28 ga. NIB. At the time they were kind of difficult to find, especially the 28 ga. Of course, after I bought them the market dropped precipitously. I like the Q1/Q2 choked guns. Was shooting quail with a 12 ga, Q1/ Q2 choked gun and hit a bird way out there. The guide said he did not realize they would hit that far out. Me neither.

Could someone please remind me the proportion of 20 gauge PR guns manufactured against 12 gauge guns.....
Coming from an Australian perspective, where sub gauge guns are relatively 'rare', I am always bewildered with an almost priority given by my North American friends, with 20s ....

Tony, the preference for 20 gauge guns, and in this case Parker Reproductions, has basically two beginnings. The first is that small bore guns were considerably fewer in number manufactured by Parker Bros., consequently commanding a greater value, all else being equal.
The second is that generally speaking, upland bird hunting requires a LOT of walking and a lighter carrying gun is more desirable. Some may argue that pheasants would require a heavier load such as that which a 12 generally produces but I argue that I killed my fair share of pheasants with my 20 gauge Stevens in my early hunting years
The 20 gauge Repro however isn't known for being a light gun but it is still generally prefered over the 12.

But, I don't believe we have ever found a righteous 12-ga. Repro with 28" bbls. factory choked Q1/Q2, have we?

I have never seen 28" 12 ga with Q chokes. However, the 12 ga IC/M chokes, which are also hard to find in 28", are not too far from Q choking and are very practical as a field/clays gun.
