My Wife and I are juggling schedules to try and attend the Southern. Looking at the registration I don’t see the Challenge Cup event. How does that work? Is a team put together before the event, or are there qualifying rounds?

Also, are wives/significant others welcome at the foundation dinner(assuming there are still tickets available)?

Never have attended an event like this, really looking forward to it!

Sign up for the Parker/LC Smith challenge is at the Parker/LC Smith tent and yes you shoot as many qualifying rounds as you want and the shoot off is on Sat morning. Yes spouses are encouraged to come to the dinner and watch or shoot too at the challenge. Also if you have time, a lot of us get together at Drakes Landing on Thursday and shoot a couple of rounds of SC, two great courses to shoot, great people just a lot of fun.

Bring plenty of cash. First time I went was 10 years ago and I was blown away. The volume and quality of shotguns will put you over the edge.

Look forward to seeing you. You only shoot one qualifying round but you can do that Friday or Saturday. It is fun

Go Mark, make it happen. If you like double guns, shooting them ,looking at them, talking about them etc then go. It's a blast, literally. You prolly need to get started on a hotel room ASAP though.

Well Hell....a BOD I sit on is on an M&A kick, and has called a special command performance on that Friday...on the "left coast". Additionally, my Mom is having some health challenges, and Robin and I are spending considerable time getting a handle on all that is selling houses, cars and getting her to assisted living.

So, all those excuses presented...when is the "next best thing"! I really want to start attending some of these events...

Hi y'all, taking the Spousal Unit. It will be her second PGCA function (Vegas last year was her first) It's her 29th "Birthday" on Friday. Anybody have a suggestion for a nice restaurant?
